Louwman is investigating the possibilities for acquiring and integrating Automotions’ Peugeot and Mercedes-Benz dealer activities in the West-Brabant and Zeeland regions. Both parties have reached an agreement in principle about this. This involves the sales and after-sales activities.
“With this acquisition, we as Louwman are expanding our retail strategy. We are expanding our dealer network regionally in the West-Brabant and Zeeland regions. This will further reinforce our position with such strong brands as Mercedes-Benz and Peugeot. We are strengthening our position in personal vehicles and show particularly strong growth in the light commercial vehicles and trucks segments. This expansion allows us to serve our customers even better. The acquisition also presents opportunities to scale up”, said Marco Broere, General Manager of the Louwman Dealer Groep.
The joint activities will be continued under the name of Louwman.
Automotions is one of the leading providers of mobility in Southwest Netherlands. Since 2007, Automotions Groep has expanded its catchment area under the leadership of Lennard van Oeveren and Jeroen Gelok by acquiring other dealer companies. “”The developments in recent years have all resulted in solid companies. The future developments in the automotive sector are the ones that made us decide on this acquisition”, says Lennard van Oeveren. “”Both brands need scale to grow further. By transferring to the Louwman Group, we look ahead with confidence for the Mercedes-Benz and Peugeot brands.””
All Automotions locations will be transferred to the Louwman Group. This concerns the Mercedes-Benz locations in Goes, Roosendaal and Terneuzen. For Peugeot, this involves the locations in Breda, Bergen op Zoom, Roosendaal, Goes and Terneuzen. Automotions employees will become employees of the Louwman Dealer Groep.
The intended acquisition is expected to be completed this summer. This all depends on approval by the Dutch market authority ACM.”
