Toyota has a long history when it comes to sustainability and the environment. This is something that we, as the Dutch Toyota organisation, are proud of. The company was the first car manufacturer to have its own division for recycling vehicles.

Toyota was also the first to produce a hybrid car in series. And: a fuel-cell car without noxious emissions. Toyota’s long-term vision is focused fully on reducing the impact on our environment. This goes for manufacturing, product use and recycling alike.

Toyota wants to continue to play this pioneering role using the latest technologies. This means even more recycling, protecting natural resources and using sustainable energy sources as much as possible. Work is also being done on cleaner and more efficient transport systems.
